Re: Speedweek 2016
After watching Out Of Nothing, I've been inspired to build a bike for next year. Hi Luke111, There's another section of the forum for Build Diaries. Post your thoughts and ideas there, plenty of wisdom and encouragement will come from people that have built something close to your plan. There's ser...

Re: Bloodhound SSC
Here's a link to Artist Stefan Marjoram's page on Vimeo. Good to see his caliber of talent and passion dedicated to documenting the Bloodhound project. There's a fantastic six minute piece on Thrust2 with Richard Noble stirring emotions with in the drivers-seat stories of the project and record atte...

Re: Traveller's Enquiry re Salt Lake Opportunities
If the pile of cash in the lounge room blocks the view of the TV you could use a bit of it to fly in and out. Mt Ive has an air strip for small planes and there’s a charter company that comes to SpeedWeek with a couple of planes.
Ah, dream-on... just covering all the options.

Re: Traveller's Enquiry re Salt Lake Opportunities
Hello Blossy, As Greg says, the main DLRA site will be updated with information about events. Mt Ive station is the official camping and caravan park for the Gawler Ranges district and the gate-keeper to the lake. You won’t be able to drive out onto the lake unless there is an event going on. Also t...

Re: Lake Omeo 2012
My friend Ben took these pics on Lake O last week (Jan 14). He said there was shallow water up one end of the lake and he was able to drive "for ages" and got the old rod over 100Kph. There were heaps of tracks and ruts all over the place. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-1VoOnaS_4u4/UPt...

Re: Bloodhound SSC
Recent NEWS from the Bloodhound SSC project. Andy Green news post: I’ve just been to inspect the work on Hakskeen Pan, in the Northern Cape, where we’ll be running BLOODHOUND SSC next year, as we test and develop the Car up to our astonishing target of 1000 mph. The scale of the work required to pre...

good trailer tech info
Sooner or later ya havta think about a transport trailer, if you’re new to that game (like me) tuck this one away (unless you’ve got a posh bus). Pretty good info and advice about trailer stuff: pictures, descriptions of bits, product comparisons, why’s and why-nots. http://www.hardingscaravans.com....
