recochem are suppliers of industrial solvents (diggers) and while probably OK I would think not a designed race fuel Yup, after some resurch that's the conclushion I came too also,, thay only seem to mention Speedway use as an afterthought,, however a successful well known salt racer contacted me, ...

Yes Paul, so many times racers are their own worst enemy,, have "always" filted my fuel, however must say not "new" oil,,

Thankyou to the comments on here and those who have contacted me behind the scene, keep 'em coming,,

Methanol

Went to replenish my stocks of "Elf" Methanol, only to be told by my supplier thay only handle/sell "Recochem" Methanol now,, I have never heard of that brand,,

Has anyone on here used it ? and if so, how did it affect performance ??

Yes Chris, I wasent aware of the ruleing for cars,, with very low slung cars I would imagine thay would be a little more forgiving in the event of a flat tyre, in that thay would have a tendency to slide around on their guts,, however a little frightening if a bike bellies out, ya gunna be droped on...

Hey fellas, with these new constructions and if you plan to run FIM, be aware of the new ruleing limiting aerodynamic ground clearance to no further than below the "inside" diameter of your rims :wink:

Almonds ?? on tv last night thay said that "Avocardo" is an old Aztex/Spanish word for testicle :lol:

Its almost impossible to find reliable information on what is right for LandSpeed,, our sport is so removed from any other motorsport that the best we can do is experience and adapt 8)

Cuppla questions, what c" is the motor, at what rpm do you see peak hp " ?? Also, you plan to Turbocharge in the future ?, and do you think that you might go to Methanol ? Mate, forget 3mile, build for 6, there is no way that when that thing is up and powering you will be backing out at half course ...

my understanding is that most pumps have a prefilter installed in their inlet,, I run a filter after the pump to catch debris in the event of a pump failure,, if your running Methanol, use a stainless filter,, I had a media filter in there this year and the Methanol stripped some media out which end...

quick calculations show approx. 30mph gain mile to mile, that things nowhere near maxed out 8)
