Re: News From The Lake: Speed Week 2013.

Just back from the lake on Thursday pm. Can report that Steve Vorwerk (aka Smurf) in his R190 International truck ran 151mph! :D This was a PB for Smurf but unfortunately he had some engine problems at the end of his run so his meeting is over. :(

Hi guys unfortunately I won't be able to make it due to a prior commitment.

Have a good one and stay warm!

Cheers,

David , that wouldn't be right . That would be a straight "Brazilian". :) :)

Vehicle imports

Penny,

You're quite right about that.

I have been looking into this over recent weeks and there is a lot of other behind the scenes work going on at present.

Roscoe

Yeah , I watched that segment on Catalyst on the ABC the other night too. I have to agree with Rev about sitting between all of that Hydrogen Peroxide. Brave and courageous man Roscoe. Hope he can raise the $3mil he's looking for.

Then how did that go kart get a run in 2009?

Fair question.

The rules say at Rule 4.2 that open cars must have a full cage. No doubt the Scrutineers/Stewards exercised some discretion for the go kart.

Someone else might be able to resolve this question.

Meeting 2011

You don't need to worry about bringing Bud into Australia we have many quality beers down here. Just ask for Coopers Pale Ale (Green label) or Sparkling Ale (Red Label). http://www.coopers.com.au/ If you like boutique beers then James Squires is a name you should mention. Golden Ale is my tip there....
