Re: BMS Bullet V8

Just catching up. Mic and I decided to build this beautifully engineered F86 Sabre bellytank. Sharing some images of the build. We ran in 2021 and got our first two speed limited runs in, 125 and 150mph. We lined up for the 175 and right on our turn the rain came and the track was closed. We had pla...

Re: BMS Bullet V8

Unfortunately the Bullet car will not be at the lake this year however I am very much looking forward to coming down with Arthur DeMain and his electric Corolla.
The 747 Bullet will be there in 2017 after a well deserved rebuild and a set of LSR tyres.

Re: BMS Bullet V8

Paid the entry fees last night so we better start doing some work. Main change is a shift to E85 Fuel, and thinking about NO2 as well as I have a kit gathering dust. Apart from that looking forward to a great week at the lake. Any comments on E85 at the salt would be appreciated, we are hoping the e...

We will not bring as much food and have a social at the canteen.
Look forward to a real meal. Team Bullet

Re: BMS Bullet V8

This time last year we had an insane amount of work ahead of us and xmas/new year was a great opportunity to work on the car and leave the phone unattended. I looked at the car yesteday and it has been sitting in the showroom since being washed after last years event. Switched on the power and pumps...

Re: BMS Bullet V8

Well I can't wait till next year. first thing on the agenda is to sort out a tow car. selling my Landcruiser 4 days before leaving for the lake was not a good short term move but it did pay for the last big spend on the salt car and put an end to the lease payments and paid in full for our new tow v...

Re: Let's go string up Animal

Times change....Animal doesn't. And now that everyone has a camera it's easy to be a critic should one choose to be. Maybe he would look more acceptable in pressed white trousers A La Bonneville but I have no trouble understanding his communications and he gets a difficult job done. I love good pres...

Re: BMS Bullet V8

Fantastic adventure....leaving with an unfinished race car, a borrowed tow car and a sleeping bag at 2pm Friday. Only got 120k and the Patrol overheated, we pulled up at the BP in Aratula to let it cool down and contemplate our situation. The rest is a dinky di miracle and a story worth telling. Tha...
