Spill Kits

Looking to update my spill kit for 2016 , can someone point me in the right direction as to where to purchase ? Also just to let any rookies know that this is a minimum requirement for chase/support vehicles .

Re: Bush camp fees

Thanks Bob , I dont think there is and "us and them" mentality at all ,Mt Ives have been excellent to us. If we the club need to provide a toilet block then I dont think anyone would give a sh.t about paying for it even if it was $20 or more per night or whatever we need to cover costs . T...

Re: Bush camp fees

Thanks for the clarrification Greg , I am worried, the reasonable number of spectators will not know we have no crapper facilities and it not be a good situation. I have only become aware of this today and now have 7 days to organise a crapper for the lake . Is there any news on the hire deal ? I th...

Re: Bush camp fees

A shower I can live without for a few days but the crapper is a problem ,I know that quite a few people are coming as
spectators, Does this mean we bring a shovel and go for a walk ?

Re: why all cow is flawed

Thanks Zork ,this was my point and Jon unfortunately no my Aus Standard helmet does not comply with the rules and you will not be allowed to run . I really hope some of the newer members are aware of this and dont get to the Salt with a non SNELL helmet !

Re: why all cow is flawed

[Most people's gripe with the all leather rule seems to be $ related, sorry guys but if that is your gripe you need to harden up some. Don't see the car guys moaning about how much as SFI suit costs and wanting to wear something lesser. Anything that achieves a comparable flame barrier and wear resi...

Re: why all cow is flawed

"Regardless of this, as I understand it, the current rule book is finalised for the year."

Gday Graham , just to clarify this means the rule book stands as it is for Speedweek 2013 ?

Thanks

Re: why all cow is flawed

Thanks Gary ,really appreciate what you have done here . Hopefully the guys can let us know one way or the other as to the rules change or not ? As a new suit takes 6 weeks to make and I will need to order shortly to be ready for Feb. Thanks

Re: Motorcycle leaters

I have just read this post . Back protectors should be compulsory in our rules . After my get off and burning a hole in my shoulder the back protector saved my whole back from getting ripped to pieces .The salt is abrasive possibly more than bitumen due to the higher speeds . I went out and got of p...

Re: M/C Safety reqs

Thanks Gary , After reading the hump article on the other post I am really not sure what to think. I dont understand why Moto GP and Superbike riders would wear them if they were just a "fashion statement" and from what the article says, basically they are a "safety hazzard" .The...

Re: M/C Safety: Leathers for 2013

Thanks for the clarification Grayem , Is it too late to submit a rule change form ? Also I understand the perforation business however should we send you detailed photos to get your opinion ? As the leathers I have ,have approx 12 holes in the arms . I dont think any of us want to get to the salt an...

Re: "GREG WATTERS" 253mph

Excellent News ,Well Done to Kim,Greg ,Jim and Ev These numbers are awesome ! I think Al Lamb of Dallas Honda did pretty well with speeds of over 250 on a 1000cc bike sounds like it has been a great few meets .

Re: Motorcycle Leathers (hump)

Gday Dave ,I think the rules allow limited perforations now . Most off the shelf leathers should hopefully be allowed ? The question is the hump .Surely more padding around the upper back would be better than none .( Also I am guessing "Fairing" means hump ,I could be completly wrong this ...

Motorcycle Leathers (hump)

Gday to the bike guys . I would like to seek a clarification on rule 7.C.2 on page 65 of the new rule book. "Fairing (leather or Cloth only) on the back of leathers is allowed in partial streamling class only" . Does this refer to the hump on back of leathers ? A lot of "off the shelf...
