Re: Bush camp fees
I would be happy to pay $195 for the lakeside camp, as long as a proper toilet block and shower was provided. Better than carting a crapper in and out again.

Re: Speed Week 2014 - Entry Forms
Please clarify...... Website says: Race Entry Fee: You need to complete a separate entry form and pay an entry fee ($275) for each class you wish to compete in. However additional drivers in the same vehicle will pay a discounted entry fee ($175) Entry form says $375 & $275...... Which is correct?

Re: Sat phone sleeve for the iPhone
Sounds like a good idea. However, My experience at Lake Gairdner with the Thuraya network, was pretty crappy. The following visit to Lake Gairdner, I brought a satelite phone on the Iridium (Telstra) network, It worked much better. Many folks don't know this, but if you are a Telstra customer, all y...

Chris, I mean no disrespect in any way........Just a point which I don't get.....If someone dehydrates......Isn't that caused by not drinking enough? If Bridgee drank enough, then how did he dehydrate? My experience....normally I am the first to dehydrate in hot weather because I don't drink enough....

Re: 2013 Moments
This will seem pretty insignificant to most, but for me it was beating the Yanks record for the VW 36hp Challenge on salt. I managed 78.3 MPH with my 1956 brown Beetle. I beat the record on salt by 0.5 MPH. That was my thrill of the week. The first day was pretty hot, and our cars ran like shit. At ...

For a Beetle, you will need to get a custom made full door net.
A guy in Melbourne made mine, and he has the template for them. Can hook you up with the maker if you like.

Every year the toilets issue gets raised......but nothing ever gets organised. The last event that was run, it was raised, but we couldn't get toilets due to the Clipsal 500 being run at the same time. I can understand that. As our event grows, the problem is not going to go away.....and ever...

Re: GPS speeds. How does this work?
ChrisACT, you are confusing the GPS course with the short course. The short course is part of the long course. What that means is, if you are slower than 175 MPH, you turn off at the 4 mile mark instead of doing the full 8 miles. The GPS course is a completely different track to the long/short course.

Re: GPS speeds. How does this work?
There is nothing from stopping you from going on the long track. You do not have to be a record breaking car to go on the long track.......hell, I am only chasing 82 mph, and I am going on the long track. My car is involved in the VW World 36hp challenge. This involves using a stone stock 36hp VW en...
