Custom Built 372 Cleveland Crankshaft
Back in 2005 Maxwill Motors in Adelaide had a purpose built 372 Cleveland Crankshaft made in the USA for my black XW that I was racing at the time on the salt...I did not go ahead with the build at the time, then we had 2 years of no racing and the engine just never happened...It was going to bring ...

Re: speedweek with no cars/bikes
If anyone thinks of it while they are at the members camp can you stick some air in the tyres of the SICK LIZARD (yellow XC wagon parked near Moe Boys Bar & Grill). Beware it may not be yellow anymore, it could just be one big brown rust hole on wheels. I did plan to come up for 3 days as a spec...

We did the walk to the lake in 2009 on Sunday once we were told we couldn't get onto the lake for a day or so. We drove the Sick Lizard (yellow XC wagon) from the Members camp back towards the turnoff and about 1 or 2 km's from the camp where you would normally veer left there is a track that goes r...

I can't take it any more!!! I know we will get a full report on the condition of the lake once the teams at ground zero get back, however has anyone had a phone call from the lake to give us a bit of an idea on the condition of the lake surface. Also if anyone is talking to someone up there could yo...

As we normally start at the 1 mile marker and rarely use the 0 to 1 mile section of the track, is it possible to run the 125 mph licence passes away from the start line in the opposite direction, as the radar gun would then be directly behind the car (presuming the radar would work ok using this met...

Re: Sideways
There is no way I would want to repeat the 2005 spin I had at 175mph at Lake Gairdner on any piece of road I can think of.The only thing that stops you from digging in and barrel rolling is the fact that the salt is dead flat.I dont think there is any piece of road or even an airfield that can offe...

Does anyone know from past experience and the meetings in the 90's that were washed out, how much water was over the track vs how much time was left before the meeting and at what point was it decided to cancel the meeting. What I am getting at is if there is a certain depth of water on the lake at ...

Q1: Does anybody know much about wheelbase vs stability, ie would a Fairlane handle better than an equivalent year falcon at high speed as it is about 2" longer in the wheelbase and the XW is not very happy in the 170 - 180 mph range. Q2: Also thinking about some Lead ballast on the rear floors next...
