Re: Tyre Requirements (MC)

Hi Garth04,
The Goodyear 15" LSR range work well on my bike - most of these are moulded to the front runner profile
You need to run fairly high pressures and they do grow up to 2" in diameter at speeds over 200mph

Re: Speed Week 2020

Hi Greg, A tough call and I guess it will come down to practicalities in the end. Running two events close together will require a lot of coordination and logistical challenges I hear what Ronnie says about the FIM costs but at the end of the day we should try to hold the event when the conditions a...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi Russ, the D2954 is what I've been using for years with no issues. It fits to a 15" rim which opens your options and the OD is same as hayabusa which means your ratios will be OK. These tyres do grow by up to 2" at speed even when pumped to 100 psi. The guys at North Terrace Tyres are go...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi Russell, Heat exchanger in the tank works perfect on my bike. Norm from Aussie Desert Coolers did an awesome job making it up for me. I also use the tank water to cool the water to air intercooler and capacity of 25 litres works ok. That way I can use water wetter in the motor cooling system and ...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi Russell, Progress looking great The outriggers I stuck on my bike worked better than expected I opted for simple pneumatic cylinders operated via a 12v 5-port solenoid valve. Wired to a simple thumb switch it worked a treat. I faced the wheels to retract forward and upwards so when I drop them ba...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi Russell, Good concept on the build - you have a few hours ahead in the workshop. Building a bike on low budget just means it takes longer but also gives you time to rationalise and perfect your ideas. Laying down in front of the motor is the way to go - you have reduced the frontal area by 30% - ...

Gidday Staytie, Ive managed to get a full sponsorship to cover the costs to go back to bonneville again this year Last year it cost a serious bunch o cash even though we had great help from Mike Ackatiff and crew. Based on last year for the two events this year here is a rough breakdown of expenditu...
