Re: FEET FORWARD AG1350

Hi Harky, looking great! Will you be using a rocker system to multiply the travel of the linear actuators? I thought just one actuator would be ideal, then there is no chance of one being up and one being down. Keen to hear where you get them from because Ill need one for my auto clutch for next yea...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi All, I thought a nice little post match debrief would be in order ... It was good to get answers to all of the unanswered questions I had before I left. Q1. Would I get it finished? A1. Yes! Monday afternoon in the back of the truck ... Scrutineering went smoothly, it went through on the first go...

Re: theTRUTH

Ha! Funny you should say that Chris, I can kill it no worries now ... I had a 50/50 chance of getting my two red kill switch wires around the right way and you can guess which way I had it in the video ... (I was rushing and soldered the feed after the kill switch rather than before it ... same colo...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi Guys! Big day today! ... first start up ... short video on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/ROPC84lk3UA Still have plenty to do: finish the new adjustable jack-shaft plates, get the hydraulic clutch working, and wire the kill switch up properly! But this is a pretty big milestone. Had to happen, gl...

Re: theTRUTH

Hey Richard, Thanks! I'm determined to get it done ... first start up will have my heart in my throat I'm sure! My one advantage re the wiring is that it's all standard stuff, so no reason to misbehave, but the proof will definitely be in the pudding. Sharing pit area would be brilliant, I'll come f...

Re: theTRUTH

Hey Richard! I know, thanks for the push! Been more hectic than usual ... but it's happening, really happening. I think I've finished the frame. Stripped everything down for painting, never thought that would get done, but had some time before i could get the rest of the fuel components, so I though...

Re: theTRUTH

Hey again Dave, The pro version of the Torque app lets me configure all the minimum and maximum values for each dial ... http://www.russelllowe.com/PhD/theTRUTH/TorqueScreenshot_SpeedInMPH.jpg Shouldn't run over this one! I haven't explored the graphs yet (rather than dials), but that info might be ...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi All, Some really good news, I found an engineer/machinist yesterday and took my parts and drawings out to him to go over it and he agreed to make them for me ... he said I should call him in a week or so ... definitely done in two. At 11am today I received an email from him saying it was done and...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi All, Turns out the alternator (GM still calls the generators) wiring is a little perplexing ... the GM stand alone engine harness only has one wire, in a 4 pin plug, and I have a standard commodore alternator with a two pin plug ... so, any guesses as to which pin to connect the wire to, if any? ...
