Re: Two engines to make one?
Yea, those Rotax 256 and brc engines have scared me from the 250cc class. Although I guess they will always belong in special construction as they never made a bike chassis? Seems like anyone with a bigger bank balance then me could come along and instantly have a lot of horsepower... I think I'm al...

Re: Two engines to make one?
Thanks for the input. Does inline not mean? Parallel? Sorry if I confused everyone by getting my terminology mixed up?
I have contacted Graham and look forward to his advice.

Re: Two engines to make one?
Well as stated, the frame will meet regs for modified. The engine and frame are of same manufacturer. The engine design is nothing like the pictured engines or the twin engined bike pictured. It is an inline twin. One crankshaft made from two single cyl crankshafts. I have read through the dlra rule...

Re: Two engines to make one?
Does the fact the engine is so customised make it special construction?
I'm confident I can use a factory frame from the same manufacturer modified within the restrictions of modified frame class.

Re: Two engines to make one?
That's what I thought and was hoping.
How would I go about clarifying for sure?
Maybe I got the class wrong. But I do want to run modified frame, rather than special construction.
Thanks again for the insight

Re: Two engines to make one?
Thanks for all the replies.
The concept is a two stroke, two cranks joined together inline, two crank cases modified into one.
Does that sound like a single engine?
Thanks for input

Re: Two engines to make one?
Sounds interesting, but I don't think it would help me understand if I can make a twin motorcycle engine out of two single cylinder engines and have it considered as one engine?
