Rev I think Don has the most correct answer. There is no way on the Jag to route the pipes any way apart from out the side of the car behind the front wheel but ahead of the door. The car will be tooooo low to do this any other way. So my answer to Big Gaz was get the primaries right and then the se...

Rev There is always a reason............. You would think that when the roof chopper and the cage builder are located next door to each other, these things would be easy to organise - not so. Israel and Palestine are also next door neighbours but they are not always able to see eye to eye....... The...

There has been progress on the Shaguar with Big Gaz wielding his mighty 9" grinder and not so mighty 4 1/2" as well. The result is a rather large hole where the rear end use to be and where the trans hump was. BG wasn't happy with the engine plate mounting at the front of the motor and the angle tha...

I've tended to use Dettol on the cane toads, being the sensitive man that I am, with the occasional use of 9 iron (it's important to get loft into the equation when clearing the ugly little fellas from the back yard). I have been known to eradicate them with the lawn mower when they stray into it's ...

Here's a pic of the Shaguar belonging to Big Gaz. He is hoping to get it running for next year's event. It has been chopped 3 inches, dropped quite a few more and will be powered by a blown & injected Cleveland, Doug Nash 5 speed, 2.5 fully floating 9 inch 4 link rear. Engine/gearbox is test mou...

I found a general article on fuel economy that might be useful for people building cars and wondering how Cd works and how to aerodynamically clean up their car.... I also found a decent summary type article regarding aerodynamics on the autospeed w...

Chris Paul Lynch here, I will be a definite again next year on the start line. I loved it! I would be happy to do it again for a half a day per day all week (or more depending on Big Gaz's needs with the as yet incomplete Jag). I'd like to have a go in the timing van as well. I'm with Dave - sorting...
