Hey Rev

How's progress on the tank? It will be really good to see it at the lake as well - it will be going won't it?

Gazza and I are going to the lake from Adelaide airport Sunday morning 4th and heading back Saturday 10th. We will have the Rentaracer LSR Magna with the 2 front seats taken and most of the boot. Hitch at your peril....

Dee If you are planning on staying overnight you will need a tent or something to sleep in. The spectator's camp is basic as chook has said. You won't need to bring too much in the way of food in as there is a canteen next to the salt just down from the spectators campsite. The canteen serves up gre...

Graeme

There is a biggish generator out at the shearers camp that feeds the camp. I'm sure you'll be able to find a power point for your drill.

Be aware though that the feed is limited and all are requested to use it wisely - in other words don't plug up your A/C or sunbed!

Generally the last call (Telstra Mobile) I make is just as you turn onto the dirt at Iron Knob. That's it, turn it off as it won't work any further along.

Yeah I remember that thread or diatribe as they can also be known as. I came away thinking "Gee this bloke must have an AMG Merc or something", It's surprising to find out it is a Clio..... But - as Goggles says, it's not all about the size of your weapon, it's how you use it and the fun y...

Dee The big runs are usually first thing in the morning. First thing being when Cled shows up to perform his starting duties, the timing van is manned, safety crews are in place and there are no technical glitches with timing, radios etc. The afternoon/evening is bench racing time which is when all ...

Chris I'll give you a call! BTW - Saw one of Brocky's Dunnydores for sale in the Just Cars for just under $500k - Bathurst winner in 1980 or 81 - can't remember/don't care - It was the year that Dicky did him a favour by hitting the rock... I guess what is interesting is: 1/ That someone thinks that...

Yes Please! I was only talking with Big Gaz about booking tickets down to Adelaide a couple of days ago. Saw the news this weekend talking about flooding in SA and thought I'd better take a look at the weather websites. Doesn't sound good at the moment, let's hope it dries out. Thanks to the SA guys...

Bob If you need a hand at the last minute I'm just up the road!! Nah - there really is no way that the Jag will be ready in time for March. I've told Gary that the revised deadline for having it ready will be November this year and Mid December at the latest. There really is still a s@#$load to do. ...

Big Gaz and I will also be shamefully riding down to Adelaide in one of Richard Branson's limo's..... The Jag will not be making it's debut on the salt this year. BG has worked his skinny butt off and his credit card has been worn thin but there is too much to do and not enough time. He got the diff...

Not so good news for any clean freaks among us - make sure you bring plenty of drinking water (if you are a teetotaller) or you want to brush your teeth...... ;-)
