Re: theTRUTH

I say this as a point of conversation/interest, what you are proposing is totally different,, In 2007 maybe 08 at BUB I was talking with the fellas that ran the little red Honda streamliner, the rider layed on his back, forward vision was via a mirror setup,, thay struggled to keep it on track and c...

Re: Importing Race Cars to Australia

I have used a company called "California Image" based on the Sunshine Coast (Brisbane) to import Motorcycle LandSpeed bodywork (3 x large boxes) out of LA, thay were good to deal with, their prices were reasonable and the stuff got here in a favourable time frame,, my understanding is that thay also...

Re: theTRUTH

Yes, high pivot point will mitigate "tip over", espically if its above the c of g,, In the perfect world you will actuate the skids at jogging pace, yes,, but you may be turning off track and inadvertinaly activate them, maybe in a little loose salt and have a scarey wobble going on where skids down...

Re: theTRUTH

Quiet a few years back I had thoughts of doin a liner, but the infustructure to run one made me say "no" ,, plan was to have the skids made from flat bar (water skies), when retracted thay would conform with the body shape,, air actuated with common ram,, In the scetch above that you have the...

Re: Two way runs for 2019

What will be the deal regards "Red Hats" ?,, will folks be elegiable for a Red Hat on a one way pass over the record, or will thay get a hat with setting the record ??,, I am in favour of the hat only if you set the record ,, I would also suggest that the Hats bear a marking that distinguishes them ...

Re: Two way runs for 2019

Would like to see the one way records (one hit wonders) discontinued,, thay would detract from the "real" records,, Back in the day I was a sitting member on the North Queensland Divisional Council of ANDRA,, Recall (if memory serves me correctly) a discussion that our drag racing records could only...

Re: Headshake at 170mph

More rear brake might have helped transfer some weight back too although on a rigid frame it won't do as much as a sprung rear "squat". beg to differ here,, on a rigid it will throw weight to the rear, similar to towing a rope behind a boat, pulls 'em straight,, however with sprung rear suspenshion,...

Re: Headshake at 170mph

in this game, especially with the 300+k bikes, any small weight difference makes a noticable difference, not so much on the naked, moreso faired :)
