Re: Honda MG & MF 750

Hey Harky how are you going to get the air in and out of the radiators? Richard Assen had the radiator under the seat and had problems with overheating It looks like the back of the bike will be pretty wide. I left the radiator in it's original position on my bike because it doesn't increase the fro...

Re: Slicks on salt

Hey Slowdirt
slicks will be fine on your bike, or any tire with the correct speed rating.
I used the standard slicks when I raced my Honda RS125-- it doesn't have enough power to spin the wheel.
An 'H' rated tire is good for 130mph .

Re: Universal chassis

I have the dimensions for a stock pipe and also for the factory A kit and port dimensions.
I will run them and see what happens.
Looks like the pipe will go forward between the radiators then turn 180* and exit in the middle of the fairing.

Re: Universal chassis

That's the one I measured and ran through the MOTA and lost 5 hp from standard.
I will measure my standard pipe and run it in MOTA and see what happens. My measuring is not so accurate.
The pipe came with the engine-- off a kart

Re: Universal chassis

Alex has been making noises about going faster-- 100 mph is not enough. So the next stage will be to refit the RS 125 to his chassis So with more than double the horse power I think he should go a decent speed All we need to do is make a pipe that fits the bike properly and rebuild an engine [img][/...

Re: It lives

I also have the Ian Williams software for about 2 years but have not used it.
We will put the rs125 into Alex's chassis and will need to use it--- I may need some help--
Alex uses the TIG for the .9mm we use but I would rather use the oxy.

Re: It lives

Dave There is a sheet metal program which you can use to make a pattern for all the sections of a pipe. My mete did the pattern for Alex's bike. Tell the program a radius and the number of pieces for the header and it spits out a bunch of templates. If you cut accurately they fit and weld perfectly....

Re: reconsider please

What's going to stop someone building a 300mph vehicle--- doing a couple of shake down runs and then trying for top speed and killing himself.
