Re: WA rookie team have a Hudson Terraplane

Classy looking car. My new boss has got one. A standad one and a buck board? He wants me to do some work on the buck board like fit the LS1 and Ford Fairlane rear end as well as the Mitsy L300 front end. I told him that its going to be a 150 MPH car, he looked a bit stunned. http://henstock.co...

Re: It lives

Bit of an update on the swinger. For some unknown reason Suzuki decided to offset the wheel in the swing arm and then offset the swing arm in the frame. Might have something to do with chain/sprocket alignment. After it was tacked together I checked it for dimensions and couldnt work out what I had ...

Re: It lives

Still have to make a new air box as the old one i made used the original tank as the top. Ill do the same with thi...

Re: It lives

Thanx Greg, yep im happy with it so far. Ive made a recess to fit into the top so I can get my helmet 50 mm lower. Just imagine it up the other way LOL. I wont fit it till ive got my seat and peg position finalized. Once thats welded in I will be able to pressure test it. Then the fun begins, fixing...

Re: It lives

Yep ill take you up on that after Easter?

"A steel extension onto the original arm is not that difficult ! "

Steel extension on alloy arm? I have a spare RGV arm here but as I havnt got the gear or expertise to weld alloy. I thought making a steel one would be the easiest option.
