Re: It lives

Another less than successfully Speed Week. At least I got 3 1/2 runs in this time. Started out very fat with a conservative tune and did a 114 mph run on a 109 record. I couldnt get the bike to rev as soon as I put load on it. Wouldnt rev past 10000, so i leaned it out a bit. Still the same so I add...

Re: It lives

Had a bit of a setback. I tried to get some more flow through my carbys by drilling out the internal fuel supply galleries. Started out at 4mm ended up at 6mm and daylight. So new carby and stopped at 5mm this time. I wanted 1 ltr per minute out of the carb but settles for 900 ml. started at 800. Th...

Re: 125cc 2stroke special construction

You only get to run 3 mile if you do over 175 mph. Track 2 is only 2 mile on the throttle and 1 mile slow down. Its only timed from the 1 3/4 mile mark to the 2 mile so no 1 mile records are possible for us slow bikes and cars. Its just a 2 mile drag race. http://s3.photobucket.com/user/dlra/media/t...

Thanx Scott, nice work.

Yep can still see tracks from last year at on ramp but with the New Moon it might be harder too.

Re: 125cc 2stroke special construction

Hey CK, If your water cooled you shouldnt have a problem with heat and you wont be running 3 miles as you cant do 175 MPH. Us slow bikes are only allowed to run on the short course, 2 mile max. You can run in as many classes as you like as long as your bike complies and you have the $$$ for each ent...

Re: It lives

Ignition is wired up and the bike is running. :D Everything but the tacho is working so still some sorting out to do. Shift light and rev limiter both work so if I dint get it sorted its not a real problem. Got to say that programming via the lap top is a lot easier than with the small hand controll...

Re: It lives

Hey Harkey Yep valuable but expensive lesson learnt. After Waikerie I made sure that I could fit the original CDI unit if I had any more problems so I have a plan B. I wasnt sure it was the Zeel but wasnt going to take a chance. Again not the Zeel's fault but mine. Perhaps they missed a fried compon...

Re: It lives

Thought I would give the bike another start just coz I could. Well that didnt work. My spark had run away again. I unplugged my tricky you bute programmable ignition that I blew up when tacking my chambers and sent to the Czech Republic to get repaired and plugged in my standard one back in and hey ...
