Re: Shaguar

The Jag goes on the Dyno in an hour. Last minute rush last night with my brother Robert with bleeding the clutch cylinders, plug change etc and the found no oil pressure on wind over. Fortunately it was just the mega buck Honeywell sensor that was stuffed so we swapped in a live line and all is good...

A special thanks to Steve Muller for putting on the BBQ, snags and rolls for all the meat eaters and supplying the excellent venue.

Re: Shaguar

Well that certainly gets me 'happy in the pants', as the term goes. We are shorting out whether we should/can stroke it slightly and the new rod length that will ensue. It looks like new pistons as well to bring the comp up to methanol requirements as the original comp was 7.1:1 when I ran it on pet...

Re: Shaguar

The Arrow has landed!
I just got a call today from Sam at Westend Performance to tell me the the brand new Ford Cleveland Arrow block has arrived.
Now the discussion starts on rods, stroke, new pistons and bore size.
I feel like I am in my 20's again!

Re: Shaguar

With this new 'girlfriend' I can try some tricks that I wasn't game to do with the old one. As Dirty Dave says 'Its only kinky the first time".

Re: Shaguar

Well, life goes on. My 32 year love affair with that block is over. I can never look at her the same way again. Not that I will get rid of her, I will just put her in the shed with the rest of my life's memories and try to move on. Done! I have brand new Arrow block on order! I need to bore it .030 ...

Re: Rule Clarification-Requirement clarification request?

Sorry Ralph but I don't think this is specific enough. I think we need to separate the cars from the bikes on this one. Re: Rule Clarification-Requirement clarification request?

Hi all, I have been a bit flat out interstate and have not been following this thread but have responded to rgn regarding his concerns. Please remember I do not make the decisions on rule changes, I only have an input to them and effect the required changes. I think we need to split the requirements...

Re: Shaguar

Mine wasn't a DART block but it was a NASCAR block that had done some time around Mt Panorama and numerous other tracks during the great days of Group C. Besides the cost it is sad that it is the end of and era of the old style of racing as well as the heartbeat of the OVAKIL coupe is now only in pe...
