Re: Rule change proposal- weight sheet as part of scrutineers

Thanks for the explanation Gaz i dont think its a bad thing , but want to be sure there is a science to it Some of the comments in Gregs link seemed just scary to me, my experiance in ballast and speedway sedans would suggest anything added much behind the axle as a pendulum , but thats only one for...

Re: Rule change proposal- weight sheet as part of scrutineers

Is this fact finding to help people understand the cog/cop relationship ? or is there a cutoff point for unbalanced vehicles in mind ?

Re: Crosswinds

The starter/timer may close the race course in whole or in part when the wind velocity at any point exceeds 15 mph or any other adverse weather condition arises In practice most fast vehicles hold at the start line when they get uncomfortable about the wind, which could be any where from 6-10 mph yo...

Re: Crosswinds

Pretty sure the tight fit with padding is necessary so you dont get too much momentum, maybe more specific safety gear for the emergency vehicle ? The US system of observers at the mile markers helps if wind is doubtful , have often asked for a wind report and get sometimes 5 or 6 very different ans...

Re: Gifts to you know who in 2015

Wondered what happened Gary, bad luck indeed , can the tensioner arm be secured or limited in its travel ? or is it more an adjustment in fuel and timing that it does not kick back ? our offering is not metal , new bodywork did not work for us, giving a speed related wiggle , seems the centre of pre...

Re: Lake Condition for March 2015

track 2 return definitely felt as dodgy as the pic looks
mud just under the surface there
Lake entry area clearly shows the water that was rising in the wheel tracks but i expected more of an indication of the wet area subsurface around that area

Re: Aero Article

Good article and great vid of the Nish save , , saw it from the start line as a dust cloud but looks much different from the side view one area Eva does not get to is height of COG , it got us this yr with new bodywork putting the COP much higher than COG and causing a high speed wiggle http://www.m...

Re: Startline Volunteers Needed

There may be less migration to track one this yr with track 2 able to run records
looks like a good split between the tracks ,
