The way i see it is if we are going to be catching up to the SCTA rule book then we should follow there rule, as of jan 1 2011 all new cars and motorcycle stremliners must have an SFI 38.1 head and neck restraint system. you need to read the rule book very carefully because in the seat belt section it says to mount the harness as close to the seat as possible, the harness bar is best to go across the main hoop and not between the rear stays.

its all there in black and white. All G,H.I,J and K (.50 l to 2.00 l) engine classes where existing record is under 175 mph may use a tubing size of no less than 1.5" od X 0.095""wall thickness. The roll cage its self min 4 point with a taxi bar and diagonal.

Thanks to everyone for your help. I've been loooking on the web and have found some interesting things. I'm going to keep the stock ratio and buy a 1 down for the rear to try on the dyno, and see if it can pull in top with that.

lag waggon.. 1 tooth on the rear is about 400 RPM it won't pull in top and 1 tooth on the front is about 4 off the rear,, I've googled gear ratio's in the past and you can find heaps of info...and spread sheets.. Thanks rob, ill have to buy 4 new sprokets cause the 16 i want is 520 and my old is 525. Looking at the ratios, those 4 give a good range for change, but is going from 3:1 - 269:1 ok ? not to bigger drop?

bike gear ratios, help please

Ok i am going to change my sprokets but im not to sure how far i can go. I've got 15 45t standard and ive done some looking and i can get a 16t front but just not sure what i should do on the back, i think a 43. It's only a 600cc 4 banger sport bike lump, and i dont want to load it up to much. Any h...
