Lake Omeo was discussed at the last club meeting. I am pretty sure they said it was 4.8km long. Thats long enough for me.
Apparently all the locals, council etc. are all for an event there.

As others have mentioned, I think we need a salt-ologist to step up and tell us how long does it take for a thick crust to form on the lake. In 07, 08 there was a significant amount of silt washed onto the lake. We raced in 09 and 2010. The main problem we face is the entry point, if it is thin we ...

As others have mentioned, I think we need a salt-ologist to step up and tell us how long does it take for a thick crust to form on the lake.

Nah, it was to do with the full moon and the planets aligning etc.....The full moon lining up with Uranus or something like that.

Just a question.....
Who decides whether the event is a goer? Is it in consultation with the Aboriginals, or purely a DLRA decision now?

What constitutes a support vehicle? My vehicle will only be used to tow the trailer onto the salt. It is not a chase vehicle. Does that need an installed 5W radio?

I am trying to understand this new door net rule. Is this for ALL cars, regardless of how slow I will be going? My car is a 75 mph beast. As all cars are different along with the shapes of the roll cages and doors.......These will only be available as custom made items.......which are not available ...

Please jump in and correct me if I am wrong, but I think all HANS and other devices now have to be SFI rated, and is now a requirement to compete in Speedweek. So before you shell out any dollars on something more comfortable, make sure you are allowed to use it.
