Congrats on getting some assistance, not easy for our sport What is the design/budget/timer restraints would it be more cost effective to start with something like this http://www.landracing.com/forum/index.php/topic,13444.0.html that already has the extra costs like chutes, harness, tires & fir...

Re: MAP Sensor

Late seeing this Harky

For a motec they will have calibration available for various sensors, very easy to find in the software and choose a sensor from the list, usually a gm/delco sensor of some sort

Re: BUB has a new name.

Couple of runs was being generous Bones , i managed one run on the new 1650 bike and burnt the clutch out by 4th gear suspected the lockup clutch in it was not going to be good enough , but had no other options on hand in the timeframe we had But the upside was the bike puts the power down well, lot...

Re: MAP Sensor

Good info

Harky, if your using a std ecu use the std sensor, there is no way to recalibrate it for another sensor , excepting a gen 2 with boost fuel activated, that has a recalibration to a GM 3 bar sensor as part of the boostfuel subroutine

Re: MAP Sensor

Ronnie any of the NA map sensors will do what you want
the gm ones are commonly used , but for your application try one that you would just drill a hole and press it in,Trumph bikes, & some late cars use them , it will save looking for a mount point and extra hoses feeding the sensor

Re: Pulse jet Bike

Wow,

Ok apart from if you do or dont fit within the DLRA regulations,
Have you thought about lean angles ?
With 75mm clearance and 250mm wide at the bottom i have rubbed through the back corner of my fairing in a cross wind
the 75mm reduces at speed to maybe 50mm

Re: Bonneville 2014

Paul thats a great show of the stream , once it would have drained better via a cut from there to the dike a mile or 2 from the roads end, the old drain shows itself on wet years as a less stable base you have to cross , also a good indicator of the water concentrated in the Speedway area yep Ronnie...

Re: Bonneville 2014

I think out main hard salt pan could cope fine, its just that mud/sand bar under the salt in our entry area thats the real problem I cant remember ever seeing signs of mud out further The Bonneville track has 5 miles of built up road to get beyond there soft edges , pity we cant put in a 1/2 mile lo...

Re: Bonneville 2014

Cancelled ...
Bummer for all involved

Ronnie i think the SCTA pits are closer to roads end than Bubs , and all the water we have driven through at Bubs in the past is the SCTA pits

Re: Rule Clarification-Requirement clarification request?

generally that would work
mine and several i have worked on use what was the sidestand switch as the lanyard, in N you can disconnect and walk away but in gear it kills immediately
and if mine was put into gear without the lanyard it would kill the motor

Re: Rule Clarification-Requirement clarification request?

Suppose we have to look where the risks are and change the rule to reflect the needs and dangers In the pits and at the start On a bike i cannot see where the rule reduces the chance of a runaway, any bike on running out of gear on a sidestand and pretty much on a paddock stand too is not going to g...
