Bvn we just have the drum brakes on the back of the bellytank and they are OK but we are considering putting some on the front to be sure. As soon as you lift off the wind resistance really makes itself felt and does all the initial slowing down at speed, and with your car being a lot less slippery ...

Oh that is so cool... I was thinking "why use tyres?" then the propeller driven toboggin thingy came into view. Excellent. Don't miss the pulse jet dogsled either... I reckon we should challenge those guys to come down here, swap tyres and we visit there. Might need a bit more than our 50m...

Nice work Ross on the Mod, but it extends beyond the body at the rear.

My guess is that it would it would improve stability by pushing the centre of pressure back but would increase the wetted area and hence drag whilst not improving the chaotic airflow around the rollcage...
