ΩTII Gas Turbine streamliner.
I have been asked to put a build diary on here partly for the interest of others and also to keep me motivated to keep working on the project that I have been working on for a few years now. The story so far.... like most people I went to the lake a few years ago “just for a look” and was blown away...

Re: Mats
Yep, they are really good, seen them in use at our local Ag show, but they are not an easily transportable item. They need to be laid and then filled with something, sand, gravel, salt etc. So will need a loader or bobcat or something. Not sure how the powers that be would be with that??? Cheers Ian...

It is terrible that this happens to anyone, but particularly sad to happen to such a wonderful group as the Clare family.

Re: New Guy questions
HI Paul, Ask 10 salt racers what ONE item makes a good car and you will get about 15 different answers. That's the great thing about this sport, everyone has their own way to skin the cat. A Soarer could make a good car but it depends on the class you want to run? If "I" was to modify it r...

If you can get the 90 degree inlet pipes, you may still have a problems with the carbs vibrating against each other?

Re: Pulse jet Bike
With a steam rocket, you would not be "running" the engine while the water is being heated, more like "refuelling". If the valve failed and the driver was on board he would just be a passenger, I still think the best thing would be to heat the water away from everyone else.....pr...

Re: Pulse jet Bike
Agree.... with the safety factors involved with turbine/jet engines, there is a lot of expertise around the place in the aeronautical field and your brother would be a good source. As for developing safety protocols on other types of propulsion, Bob Maddox would be a good start for Pulse Jets, he ha...

I don't reckon that ratchet strap will hold. Ahhh where is your sense of adventure... :) cyote.JPG In all honesty though I think opening the flood gates to all types of "thrust Vehicles" would be a machine examiners nightmare. These things are only as safe as the people handling th...
