Laycock or Gear Vendor overdrives may also be an option.

Re: 750 liner

That's going to put a hell of a lot of side load on the input and output shafts that weren't designed for it? Could you use a small shot of NOS to get you off the line, say 50 HP? Dave We will need to run an outboard bearing on both shafts Dave, as you pointed out the input shaft and output shafts ...

Fuel pump drive looks the goods. Innards of an Aussie 3 speed. http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w278/jonra23/3ADFCA4D-A454-48F6-8C71-F948269D9F73-909-00000124100EE7BE.jpg Gears are helical cut but shift gear is all straight cut so the shift mecanism shouldn't get too upset by counter rotating. Re: why all cow is flawed

I think the risk of an on onboard fire is pretty real. All the ingredients are there, heat, oxygen and fuel, a ventilated engine case, or fuel leak will get all 3 of them together. Much greater likelihood that someone on a sit on bike will come into contact with flames than someone in a car or liner...

Re: why all cow is flawed

Thanks Zork ,this was my point and Jon unfortunately no my Aus Standard helmet does not comply with the rules and you will not be allowed to run . I really hope some of the newer members are aware of this and dont get to the Salt with a non SNELL helmet ! Everybody who intends to run at Gairdner sh...

Re: why all cow is flawed

Contact Grumm about non Snell helmets, I did last year. Sorry I misunderstood when you said it wasn't about money. Pretty much everyone has gear that they only use for DLRA. Anyone who competes on a non sit on bike will have a SFI rated suit, underwear, gloves and shoes, a Snell helmet, a HANS devic...

Re: why all cow is flawed

Hi Montlhery
For $1850 you should be able to get a nice set of leathers made that comply with the rules and offer good fire and abrasion protection.
Your helmet should be fine still.

Re: why all cow is flawed

I don't have a sit on LSR bike so no didect effect to me, I do ride though. A few points. You want a decent flame barrier between you and any fire and you and the salt in case of a get off. (don't think anyone is arguing about that) Anything that is going to achieve that is going to stop airflow. No...
