We had 17mm of rain in Pt Augusta last Friday with a bit over 10mm at Wudinna, but don't worry, the next week of 40C+ weather should dry it out nicely.

Hey Johnno
You must be close to firing the beast up by now???
I'm still waiting for some carby parts, hopefully be here in the next week or so.

Found the codes, hadn't looked that far back in the book
Otherwise I've found the form pretty straight forward.

Re: Speed Week 2014 - Entry Forms
Would be good to get the number system sorted, I had my number on the number plate, was told the rider number also had to be on the leathers so did that with a texta, and then had the number drawn on the petrol tank. So fronted up at the start line with 959 located in 3 places on the bike, I'm afrai...

Johnno
The colour on mine is Rover Golden Yellow, used by Rover I believe in the late 60's.
Just fitted another head to the bike with bigger inlet valves (up from 1.440" to 1.600") along with twin carbs. Just got to sort out cables and things to get it going again.

Re: Honda MG & MF 750
I bought a GS1000 new in 78 and sold it a few years ago. Regret it now but thought I was over the bike bug. Turned 50 and decided to see have another go. Cant keep of them now. Dave Hey Dave, I know that feeling. Bought a brand new 750 Bonnie in Dec 81, sold it about 16 years ago to a mate. Bought ...

Re: 50 T-Bird
G'day Johno Glad you like it. The more yellow vehicles the better, dunno why, but I just find anything painted bright yellow looks good. Looking forward to seeing your build progress. I've got the new valves and have fitted the new guides to the head. We've got a bike show in Pt Augusta in couple we...

Re: 50 T-Bird
Well, after having a bit of a rest from Speedweek I've started on stage 2 for next year. I have another head which takes T140 valves so once they arrive from the UK we'll pull the standard head off and fit the big valve head. I'm also going to twin 30mm Amals from the single carb I ran this year. On...

Re: 650cc and a 50 thou oversize
G'day Rob
This year was the first time racing on the salt for me and the bike.
Its reasonably standard at this stage, just bolt on performance mods. The best speed I did was on the GPS track where I managed 108mph.
So I was very happy with that.
