I've been to one of the race meets there. They call them old style weekends. No billet, all old style cars and bikes. It's on an ex Russian air force base not far from Berlin. When you look and black and white photos, if it wasn't for the wind turbines in the background you'd think you were in the 5...

C/BGCC for $180K

$180K and it still won't earn a $2 bill (and you'd have to cage it etc).
still it'd be fun wouldn't it!
Anyone keen to buy a share?

Toyota primus (or any other hyrid)
Just a crazy question that came out of a discussion at work. Would a toyota primus be considered a vehicle with two engines as seeing that it has a petrol motor and an electric motor? And if so does that mean that it would have to run in the streamliner class? Alternatively would it be classified as...

LSR on rails
Did everyone saw the french train that set a new land speed record for trains of 574.8kph (357.2mph).
What do you think the chances are of getting a side project together and building one here?
How hard would it be to setup a track at next years speed week

Monocoque chassis
This is a bit of an open ended question. I was reading over on landracing.com about the guy that wants to build a streamliner with a carbon fibre moncoque frame. It got me thinking, back in the day they built F1 cars with Sheetmetal aluminium monoque frames, complete with riveted on suspension mount...

I saw the costella streamliner at Bonneville when he was running a twin turbo flathead. Very interesting car, the frame doesn't look too special but when the body goes on its looks like s@x on wheels.

Re: Classes
but doesn't a supercharger bump you up two capacity classes? Or is this just in a categories where they may be a mix of blown and unblown cars? The bumping up 2 classes only applies to /PRO class cars doesn't it? i.e. any class that doesn't have a seperate blown section, like lakesters where they h...

Hi Guys & Girls, Though I'd intro myself. I'm a transplanted kiwi living in Melbourne. I've been to Bonneville and seen the racing there (2001). I met up with a couple of kiwi teams racing over there that year. I think I caught salt fever then. I'm half way through building a hot rod, so who kno...
