Re: Greetings - 100cc M/F for 2014

A custom expansion chamber of my own design.

It's taken a couple of years iterating through the sim to get it right although until I get it running on a dyno, I won't know how "right" it is.

Re: Greetings - 100cc M/F for 2014

Here's a chart from my simulation software. http://members.iinet.net.au/~cjbrooks@grapevine.com.au/images/LSR_302m.jpg The porting here is pretty wild and it's on methanol to boot. I'm not sure 35.5HP is really possible (ie sustainable) with this engine without it being a grenade. The real issue her...

Re: Greetings - 100cc M/F for 2014

mate, never underestimate the information gathered from a dyno, sure, thay all read different, but,, always use the same dyno and work with what it tells ya,, sometimes changes to your machine "feel" right, dyno readings will confirm, ,, for example, i made a new exhaust system and...

Re: Greetings - 100cc M/F for 2014

My project is not going as quickly as I'd like. Busy with other stuff and too much faffing about instead of working in the shed. I'm planning to run methanol. I also anticipate difficulty testing it. I will run it on a dyno before I take it to the salt just to get some idea of what I've got to work ...

Thanks for the welcome Project100. What class are you running Suzi in? Gasonline or Fuel? Have you run before or is this your first trip to the salt like me?

Re: MOTOR CYCLE SFI HEADSOCK

Chris, I understand. I don't wish to be petty either. I think this discussion is quite serious. I have marshalled at circuit racing events and I know that everyone does their bit and wants only the best outcomes for racers. I'm not suggesting that they shouldn't or don't care, or shouldn't do their ...

Re: 200 naked

The 350 this year went 20mph faster than it did as a roadracer with no body work. the roadracer went 120 with no body work and 129 with I went 141 on the gps track. I'm hoping the same improvement will happen at faster speeds. My mate Rod is going to do the body which will be similar to the 80 that...

Re: MOTOR CYCLE SFI HEADSOCK

As Gary stated, there is nothing to stop anyone wearing a head sock if they deem it necessary. The fact that pretty much nobody does should tell you how the riders feel about it. So why make it mandatory? Is the suggestion that we are all, as a collective, too stupid for our own good? MotoGP riders ...

Is the new rod heavier? Will you have to re-balance the crank?

Re: APS/G 250

I bought some cheap bathroom scales that go up to 220Kg (yes you can get them) - so I could measure the balance. The scary thing is that I need 75kg on the front to make it 50/50! Pete you could do the same just to quantify what you are doing. I think also if you have a few people you can do it at ...
