Yeah, know you don't need more thunderboxes. The link was to a thread about trails and tribulations of WWPT's. Poster woodbe seems quite learned in the ways of the poo.

If someone can give a lift there and back i can help with working bee. I'm in inner adelaide 'burbs. what is the exact spec of the aqua nova. This is from someone with lots of problemsolving experience in WWPT's. .....I think you need a system that can be easily shut down and restarted. If it's aban...

beers at armakeggon
G'day all. I'll be in brisneyland on weekend of 21/22 september for a bicyle race and this popped up on things to do. 40 odd craft beers on tap to try. sounds bloody awesome. I make a mean home brew and some of the offerings are way out there. If anyone is keen for a chinwag and a tasty beverage, sw...

Re: the post your "offerings to the gods of speed" thread
We used to have a great wall of shame at Bike Factory ducati shop in Adelaide. Nothing to add but a funny story i recall. A Speedcar racer was killing it in a race, leading, then flame went out. He coasts to infield and sits out the race. When the car was pushed back to pits someone asked what went ...

Motorpacing is a dying sport..it used to be huge. Helmets are Ok....Leathers are being looked into. No way could i ride i...

mini me lakester.
I did a project recently with my students to create a CO2 canister powered racer to compete against each other on a 20m timed track. Loosely based on the 'F1 in schools' challenge which annually pits 9 million students against each other to produce a CO2 car using STEM (science,technology,engineerin...

Re: What are you Planning???
I'm still keen on my bicycle motorpacing idea...Staying fit and training still. 110 mph would be the all time record pacing behind a motorbike. Outright record, behind a car, is beyond my financial capacity (175mph behind modded indy/lemans car). 3 kids under 5 and back at uni full time has slowed d...

Re: Anyone got a mate in OHIO?
Rob Carroll put me onto a company 'Cheetah Imports' out of Indianapolis. I'm in touch with 'em now but nothing doing yet.
They would seem to offer the services you require. My needs include payment in local currency so extra level of negotiation.

Re: New to land speed racing
I have an old magazine article about a V8 bike that might just solve this chain drive caper. This guy used a vw transaxle flipped over so the clutch is at the front, then stuck a sprocket and an outboard bearing where one of the axles used to be. He was using an old rover 3500 motor. I've also seen...
