Triumph streamliner - HRM 1966

Here's a feature from an old Hot Rod mag I was given a while back. http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt348/Nitro-nige/Hot%20rod%20magazine%20scans/Bike-liner-10001.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt348/Nitro-nige/Hot%20rod%20magazine%20scans/Bike-liner-2.jpg

Mickey Thompson challenger 3 & Craig Breedlove.

A while back someone gave me a stack of 1960's Hot Rod Magazines. These 2 cars were featured in one of them. Don't know if either car ever ran. http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt348/Nitro-nige/Hot%20rod%20magazine%20scans/challenger3-1.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt348/Nitro-nige/Hot%2...

Goldenrod magazine feature

A while back someone gave me a stack of 1960's Hot Rod Magazines. Here's a feature they did on the summers brothers goldenrod. http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt348/Nitro-nige/Hot%20rod%20magazine%20scans/Summer-bros-1.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt348/Nitro-nige/Hot%20rod%20magazine%2...

It's hard to come up with a valid argument not to include something that improves safety.
It wouldn't necessarily have to be the actual HANS system would it?

The rule book is only there to make the cars (and bikes) safe.

Stolen from the hot rod magazine website article about the GM/So cal speedshop lakester; And now we pause for a history lesson. Southern California dry-lakes racing was thriving before WWII, and when racer Bill Burke went to war, he noticed that the underwing fuel tanks on P-51 Mustang aircraft were...

With the diff does it need to have full floating hubs???like a truck diff It's my understanding that you can have "non retaining" axles (ala GM 12 bolt). The have to be semi floating (ala Ford 9 inch) or full floating. So to answer your question no I don't think so. Get an official answer...

36 Hp challenge

You can have a look at the USFRA 36 Hp challenge.
http://www.saltflats.com/36_HP.html

"Tom Bruch's small 1378 cc single port 36 HP turbo motor at 103.497 MPH"

You might get some ideas for cages, gearboxes etc.

I don't have an SCTA rule book but I think they use 46.000-61.999 for I and 62.000 to 92.999 for H.
So I imagine similar would apply to DLRA.

Wouldn't steam loco have problems with rule 2:14 Course Damage.
Surely those flange on the wheels would dig up the salt real bad

Norms roadster record.

I was looking through the records from speedweek at Bonneville. Apparently the record Norm was chasing (A/GR) got bumped from 236.741mph to 253.449mph. That's one fast brick. Also of note with the roadsters was BMR racing. They didn't back it up but they ran 291.113mph in C/FR. An even faster brick!!

Does that mean you'll be doing something like the Main/Poteet streamliner?

Whataya plans for a CNC. I guy I work with is trying to build a CNC machine at home using parallel kinematics. Looks good in CAD but that's as far as he's got so far.
