Re: 50 T-Bird
Well, after 3 years we finally got to the Salt. I was hoping for a speed in the high 90's so was very happy with my first ever run on the salt at 103 mph. :D And I was even happier next day with a 108 mph run. :D :D :D Was a pity about the head wind Thursday afternoon but we still cracked the ton on...

Re: Shaguar
Being a bit of an Anglophile, this was the best looking car on the salt for me. Sounded good as well, just think what it will be like a V12

Re: Bush camp fees
`If you wish to stay at the DLRA camp and need any information or help slip over to the "Table of Knowledge" (near ATCO with Satellite dish remnants) and we should be able to help even though the knowledge base has been depleted by a few unable to attend' If you run short of `knowledge bas...

Re: Vintage Motorcycle
This rule is based on the old AMA ruling where-by side valve machines can run a 50% displacement advantage against OHV machines. This was done because because it was the only way the old handshift, side valve Harleys could remain competitive against the Pommie 500 OHV and OHC, foot shift bikes (alon...

Re: Log Books
OK, that explains almost everything but does raise one more question. I'm a member (about 3 years now) and have pre-entered (carried over from last year), but this will be the first time the bike will be at the lake so does that also make me a `new entry' ? So which line do I queue up in? :D Cheers ...

Log Books
Am I right in thinking a log book will be issued when the bike gets scrutineered at the lake?

I bought an Arai and it is quite difficult to find the sticker on the inside. When I bought it I told the slaesman I had to see the sticker and he couldn't find it, but a second salesman knew where it was.

Re: First time Start Line assistant
Well Lynchy
Its nearly that time of the year again, 3rd time lucky hopefully.
Are there any alterations to the starter manual or are the ones you sent in 2011 still OK
Cheers Mossy
PS I've actually bought a spare battery for the camera as well.

Re: M/C Safety reqs
Sorry Momec but your wrong as well My 4wd goes a lot faster in high range top (transfer box ratio of 1.22:1) than it does in low range top (3.32:1 transfer box ratio).

Re: M/C Safety reqs
Stayt'ie 2.0:1 is a `high' gear ratio compared to 3.0:1 which is a `lower' ratio. The reasoning being that at 3,000rpm your back wheel is turning 1,500 times at 2.0:1, where'as a 3.0:1 ratio would require the motor to spin at 4,500 rpm to achieve the same 1,500 rpm wheel rotation. So lets say you bi...

Re: why all cow is flawed
Hey Ross Glad to know you'll be looking out for me, I'm sure I'll need all the help I can get :) Reading all this is making it sound dangerous, maybe I'll just stick to the mechanicing and find someone else to ride it :? Contrary to popular opinion I was actually born in Australia so my normal attir...
