Proposed change to track 2
Peter Hulbert (Timer) has noticed on a recent SCTA timing slip that I sent him that timing at Bonneville actually starts at the 1 mile and they still have a trap at the 2 ¼ mile. I don't know how long they have been doing this and if this is because they just couldn't get the extra track length for ...

Some implications for social media posts
There has been a recent ruling here in Australia where the owner or administrator of a forum or Facebook or similar will be held responsible for anything derogatory publish on that medium. This is very similar to a problem that I personally faced back in 2003 which cost me considerably financially a...

Re: August 2021 DLRA General Meeting
Well the likelihood of us being able to hold a General Meeting on the 10th October is getting less and less. As an indicator as to how things will open up, word has it that regional schools will go back around the 12th October with Metro schools not going back until the 26th. We will keep monitoring...

August 2021 DLRA General Meeting
August 2021 DLRA General Meeting Well we did have a meeting planned for the 15th August, but Victoria is in lockdown again until at least the 12th and may continue on past that date. Plus we don't know what the restrictions will be after lockdown. So we feel it's best for all concerned to cancel the...

Speed Week 2021 Results
Overall Race Results are now posted. There are separate tables for track 1 and track 2, ranked by speed as I do get asked this question a lot. In the coming days/weeks I will combine into the one usual table, then start confirming record runs. Then at some stage I will be issuing certificates. (Stil...

Re: No alcohol sales at the canteen
Well, it's amazing what can happen in a very short time. The bar at the canteen will now be open for over the counter, pre-packaged sales. A deal has been struck with the Prancing Pony Brewery. We will have some details on exactly what they will be selling tomorrow, but I'm sure this will come as go...

No alcohol sales at the canteen
I have a couple of announcements to make on behalf of Mt. Ive Station. 1. Due to some unforeseen circumstances there will be no bar at the canteen for Speed Week 2021. This means no alcohol sales across the counter, you will need to bring your own. 2. Those participants who are camping at the Mt. Iv...

Re: Speed Week 2021 Update
I'm pleased to announce that Speed Week 2021 is definitely on. Pack your bags, hook up the trailer and hit the road! The track itself is very good, the edge of the lake is a bit muddy as the salt has been washed away, but with the mats and people taking it easy should be okay. Will have some photos ...

2021 Silent Auctions
This year there will not be a Charity night on the Wednesday night of Speed Week due to the limitations on gatherings. So we have come up with the idea of running some "silent" auctions for items that have been donated to the club. Already we have had some very unique and highly desirable ...
