Re: It lives
Pistons and new main jets have arrived so I can start putting the motor back together. New carbs are shorter that the old Mikuni's so I need to modify the air box. This was supposed to be a nice easy change over. Yeh right.

Re: It lives
If you are using Google Chrome there is an extension that you can enable that will make it possible to view the Photo Bucket pics. Works fine for me.

Re: It lives
So ive been thinking about what I am doing wrong with my last tuning attempts. Checked all the ignition and jetting and cant put my finger on what i have missed. Ive made quite a few changes, new pipes, modded carbys for methanol and ignition changes. The pipes are copied from a known good set (Than...

Re: It lives
Im not running Methanol this time, some Sunoco stuff. Its got some ethanol in it but should tune much like Gas.
Ive gone back to an engine that I know (Hope) works so just aero changes really to my old Gas bike.
Good to hear the Ape is up and running. Have a safe trip.

Re: It lives
Quick update. Bike is running and lowered with the low tank installed. I didnt fit the longer swing arm as I didnt want to do 2 fairly major changes. If it doesn't handle as well as it did I will know what the cause is. http://i701.photobucket.com/albums/ww12/Last_Minute_Racing/DLRA%202017/IMG_20170...
