Hi Salties ,i was one of the many who made the trek north only to be told to turn around and go home .It was a very dissapointed crew and driver who trekked south . I don't know why it was left so late to cancel the event considering the track was so wet . I'm not blaming anyone i know the DLRA wait...

HI , There is an easy way to avoid traffic ,turn right at first set of lights Portrush Rd follow thru to Hampstead Rd turn right travel 3-4Ks at Grand Junction Rd turn left and right on to Pt Wakefield Rd . hope this makes it a little easier . cheers Mick

Hi Dee, only the priveledged few camp on the lake ,there is a spectators camp only a few hundred metres off the lake directly behind the canteen ,quite a few stay there but its pretty much bare bones ;eg cold showers ,not sure on camp fees etc. cheers Mick member#360

Hi Dee , welcome to the forum . allow 6-7 hrs travel from Adelaide ,with recent rains the track from Iron Knob to the lake may still be a little slow , as far as best days to attend Tuesday thru to Friday am is when it all happens , hope to see you there .cheers Mick ps speedweek runs from 5th-9th

GordonD you are so far off base , the DLRA welcome any newcommers and will go out of their way to allow new members the chance to run but safety is absolutely paramount and if you got into trouble at speed eg .turned your car on its lid you would soon realize the reason for roll cages, 5 point harne...

Hi salties, read the rainfall figures in the Advertiser today Iron Knob 58mm Woomera 75mm , Nonning 117mm and Mt Ive station is in the middle , does not look good ,lets hope for plenty of sunshine . cheers Mick
