I also have a friend who is ex british army who tells me of a five mile emergency airstrip for the shuttle in W.A. . He couldn,t remember the town name but says its visible on google earth .

I think the change to an earlier race date is to ESCAPE the March madness of the weather patterns around australia ? Not necessarily to try and pick the best time for our Lake .

Hi everyone . I assume people are still going to the members camp as usual but probably will trundle home monday or tuesday.

I recieved an email from Mt Ive and thought i would pass it on Hi Paul, Yep, it's drying out nicely by the look of it. there is a camp ground between port augusta and the iron knob turn off , on the right hand side ,called nutbush retreat. others stay there and say its ok . It also give you a jump on people leaving port augusta so you dont have to follow there dust on the way in ,or that is how it has been descibed ...
