Re: theTRUTH

Hey Harky, What's with the serious reply!?! Just because the world is caving in doesn't mean we have to get all serious ... imagine where that might get us. Yeah, I figure confused/turbulent water is water that wants to give up more heat voluntarily. More surface area with those long pipes too aye. ...

Re: theTRUTH

Thanks Tyrant! Yeah, really disappointing, we might find out today if Speedweek 2020 will be rescheduled to November ... I have my fingers crossed! Until then though, I'm trying my best to keep cool ... Here's a video showing the new radiator plumbing to tidy up the right hand side of the bike where...

Re: Speed Week 2020

I'm an emotional wreck!

This is like that legal case study where if someone is falling off a tall building and I shoot them in the head on the way down am I still guilty of murder?

I haven't seen the question regarding rescheduling to November, I'm definitely keen though.

Cheers

Re: theTRUTH

Hi Guys, After sinking into a virus induced depression I've finally pulled myself together enough to put the fairing on the bike and shoot a walk around video: https://youtu.be/1Lz7fYMuc0I (head straight to 3 minutes 30 to hear her start up) http://www.russelllowe.com/PhD/theTRUTH/theTRUTH_2020_Walk...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi Guys, Once again ... down to the wire! Motor is back in and been running a few times; didn't make the kid cry this year ... I did shed a wee tear though, like it rose from the dead. Sounds soooo good! http://www.russelllowe.com/PhD/theTRUTH/Fairing/theTRUTH_Fairing_Rear.jpg Working on the rear fa...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi Greg, Aha! I wondered why the holes were in the tops. But if I'm following you correctly there would need to be holes in side of the vertical tube too ... where the horizontal tubes butt into it. My plan is the paint them with cold galv at this point; but if they are going to last then proper gal...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi Everyone, Just taking a quick break from theTRUTH to smash out a few nodes for a shade structure ... I'm following a design by Colin Clare which I think was adopted by the club for its shade. You'll see I've slightly altered it with 10mm round bars welded to the side of the 40x40 square tubes jus...

Re: theTRUTH

Thanks Coffeesnobs, not long now! Love seeing those H2's get thrashed too! It was about this time last year when I was prepping and painting the frame, but even so I'm in a much better position ... all the running and rotating bits have been in and down the salt, so I'm confident it'll all go back t...

Re: theTRUTH

Thanks Y.B. I hope I am!

This year it's geared for 224mph at 6750rpm. With wheel spin I probably won't go near that, but 181mph should be eclipsed ...

Cheers!

Re: theTRUTH

Hi Guys, Almost done with these bloody blisters! Been more work than the rest of the fairing ... happy with how they are coming out though, begining to look fast! http://www.russelllowe.com/PhD/theTRUTH/Fairing/theTRUTH_BlisterLeft.jpg And looking down the bike: http://www.russelllowe.com/PhD/theTRU...

Re: theTRUTH

Hi Guys, Finally got the fairing symmetrical ... symmetrical enough anyway (the left side blister is shaped and tacked together). I was debating whether to cover my arms up to my elbows, as is allowed by the rules, but have felt a bit claustrophobic in the past. This is nice and airy though; no wide...
