i spoke with john many years ago , he said that it had problems with streaching the standard cylinder studs :( could`nt keep head gaskets in it, why he didn`t use a set of high tensile studs that were avilable at the time :?: :?: would have cured that problem 8)

14:1 on methanol "is" soft, my suggestion, dont go softer, just keep advancing the spark , i agree with garry, methanol is way cheaper and consistant, i have always used the shell stuff in my turbo bikes, because it has a higer acertone content, i found it gives a cleaner burn which helps in plug re...
