Re: 2 strokes a can of worms.
It's not broken, don't fix it.
Everyone has the same rules, we then choose what we want to run in those rules.
Last thing we need is to double the number of classes of bikes.

What is the surface like Greg?
The picture of the car above looks like it has furrows in it.
Is the a 2013 meet planned?

Re: Let's go string up Animal
Hi
I want to thanks you for the work you put in Animal.
It's unfortunate that the video got posted, I think most of us have used exactly the same language when frustrated.
I was amused by by the attire, I've never seen anyone carry their durries in their jocks before.

Re: Are we RACERS or Politicians
Yep, I've been talking to Cookey. Most issues with the old gear are wiring faults or dirty sensors. There is new wire at the DLRA camp. Dirty sensors can be dealt with most effectively by distancing the lense from the salt. How the old sensors were set up: http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w278/jon...

Re: Speedweek 2014
It should be up to the rider/driver/vehicle owner to decide whether they get picked up or make their own way back if the vehicle can do so. They just need someone at the start line to pick them up in a timely manner if the whizzy bits either stop whizzing or come out to catch some sun. If you can ge...

Re: Are we RACERS or Politicians
Getting more runs would make most people happy. I've mentioned a couple of times that we should time the current GPS course with the old timing gear. We own the gear. I've offered to lay it out and pick it up. If we put the timing van next to the start line we would need very few new volunteers or s...

Re: Speedweek 2014
I am against adopting a rule to implement towing too and from the track, as others have said there's no real benefit for most vehicles. If someone is doing something foolish deal with them individually. I am for adopting a rule to implement towing around the pits, most vehicles have very limited vis...

Edit. Just had a look at the link. SANTOS hey. I worked in the Cooper Basin in the early 90s for a company contracted to Santos, they looked after their own but the contractors were expected to do the stuff that SANTOS staff wouldnt do no matter what the temperature was. I hope its changed up there...

Re: Speedweek 2014
Research has shown in hot conditions that going into a "cool room" is beneficial, it helps get body core temperature down. Red alert days (above 40 degrees apparent temperature, calculated from temp and humidity) our outside workers (doing physical work) have to spend 10 minutes of every h...
