Yo - Barry! Don't know if Rod will be bringing the Broze Aussie as it really was beaten up quite badly last year. There are always all the other cars that are pretty interesting and Keith Turk is bringing his Camaro out from the US (he will be shooting for mid 200's as well). Alas - the Shaguar will...

Merry Christmas from myself and Big Gaz as well....

BG's birthday also happens to be Christmas Day - I think he won't be getting much given the bashing his accounts have taken lately getting the Jag ready.

We hope to see y'all down the salt in a few short months!

Unique Cars Article

The latest edition of Unique Cars has an article on "must see events" for 2007. They included Bonneville but used a picture of the Silverton Pub boys out at Lake Gairdner - Ooops

Some more progress... The whole cage has been finish welded and the tailshaft tunnel has been fabricated with an integral tailshaft loop at the front. The tunnel is now visiting the sheet metal fabricator to be sheeted with stainless. It will be in 3 pieces (2 side pieces and a removable top) and wi...

Maybe we should send Don down to help? He's the king of Ricey motors. He might even help set the tank up for drifting..... Wouldn't that be worth paying to see!

The racetrack looked good - noticed myself that the stands were fairly empty, I wonder if they'll continue trying to get an international (non NZ)audience?

Here's a photo of the 1:18 scale Jag. The roof has been chopped and the car lowered. However, it needs to come down even further to be correct. Compared to the real car, this one is a monster truck. It needs to come down another 4-5mm to be right. m I spoke with Gaz on Wednesday, he'd taken the day ...

Big Paul and I have been down a couple of times (to the salt) and feel some sort of deep urging, in my case almost to the point of obssession to get back there

Big Gaz means this in a totally spiritual / heterosexual way.........

I hope!

Keith

What ratio rear end and how many revs for the 260 run? + what gearbox ratio?

PS - If you guys are heading up to Brisbane, maybe we could organise a BBQ courtesy of the Assistant Starters Club - Brisbane chapter.

Some more progress - the fuel cell has been purchased and is now being fitted to the boot as well as the battery box, sheet metal work is also underway. More work going on this weekend with maybe some pics next week. As you are all aware, Big Gaz is in Sydney and I am in Brisbane. I get more time th...

Chris Good to hear from you too. Don rang me Friday arvo and gave me the news about the "new, big dollar" engine he got for the blue wagon and having to replace the AFM at almost the cost of the whole motor. He also tells me that he now has a battered big end to stick on the shelf as an of...

Guys Thanks God you're all still alive. I was starting to think that someone was going around assassinating all DLRA members judging by the lack of activity on this forum. It's been so lonely wandering around the site on my own....... I'm thinking I should stop by Don's workshop on my way home and c...

A bit more has happened

The fuel cell has arrived - 12 Gallons = 45 litres should be enough for a couple of runs...this is getting set up at the moment as well as a battery mount in the boot. The taxi bars in the cage have been set up for the harnesses, sheet metal is getting bent and fitted to the rear clip. The push bar ...
