Gary, pretty much as you described it I think.
It is 2 entry forms, 2 scutineering sheets. Only problem would be that if a second person wanted to ride/drive, they would have to pay the $250.

Incorrect Gary, To be a member of the 200MPH club, you have to set a record over 200 MPH. The record that John and Debbie is chasing is Leigh Fielder's of 238 MPH. We have many more members who have driven a car at over 200 MPH. Off the top of my head Lionel has driven Rod's car over 200, as has Rod...

You don't need a floating diff. The roll bar is 1.75 mild steel. No pipe joiners or clamps, all welded. No grinding of welds. If it stuffs up, grind it out and re weld. Tyres are easy, any V or Z rated tires are OK. I use some second hand ones, some of the others have new ones. Fire system is more c...

Gordon, have a look at the previous thread. The things like wings or blowers only apply if you want to contest a class record. You car will need to meet the technical requirements to run. You are only intending 187 Mph, so you will need V or Z rated tyres. You will need a roll bar setup, fire system...

A Ballistic blanket is used at the drags to protect the driver if the auto explodes. Speed shops may be able to help you. If you have room, you could make something out of steel. You are probably much better off with a manual, as you don't lose RPM at high speed. The loss in a torque converter will ...

Gary, Time will tell.I can think of Brian Nicholson, Nick Bowen, Ron Whowell, and maybe Stuart Lappin amongst others that you will have to push through. It has been a while since we have had a new member of the 200 MPH club. The last Aussie was Lynden Cooper in Lucky's bike in 2000. If it was easy, ...

If you want to have a go in an unmodified car, you can run it up to about 125 or 130 MPH. Your car needs to be in good condition, and it will be scrutineered on its safety, similar to a roadworthy check. If you want to race as a competition vehicle, the requirements are a lot more stringent. The rul...

Pete, I agree with Greg. An open wheeler circuit car would probably meet the class requirements for Lakester. I think though that you will have a lot of trouble meeting the safety requirements with respect to roll cage size and thickness. I would think that circuit cars would be built with a relativ...

Don, Not bad. How about : 2.5 l twin turbo Toyota. Wednesday before meeting, 135KW at wheels at 4200 rpm. Major spit on dyno. Unknown by me, one of the turbos had lost the exhaust turbine. Most out the exhaust and later found embedded in the workshop wall. Enough sucked back into engine to kill rear...
