Re: Startline Volunteers Needed
To clarify the actions to be taken if we have any gear fail or get taken out we've been working on contingency planning. So we've come up with Plans A, B, and C for Track 2 to keep Track 1 running as well as possible. Plan A - We time over a full mile for Track 2. The course will be longer than it u...

Looking for a lift?
Dear all Unfortunately due to work commitments I'm not able to ride in style down to the lake in Big Gaz's bus this year so I'm flying in to Adelaide. I'm arriving at about 9:00 on the Sunday and driving up to Lake G. So, if you want a lift from Adelaide airport let me know. I'm flying home on the S...

Re: Shaguar
Gaz sent out an email this morning. The new engine build is underway and will hopefully be complete by end Feb. New block, higher compression, new CHI alloy heads, new 6" rods. So there are improvements to the original 80s/90s tech engine. Should be some more HP as well. Cross your fingers that...

Re: reconsider please
Yes - records will be attributed to the former GPS course with the new timing gear but they will be designated as Track 1 or 2 records as are the records on the long course. Again, if there is a need/desire to run a full mile for a record this would be allowed on an exception basis for slower vehicl...

Re: reconsider please
Dave Obviously there are always exceptions and special needs that need to be investigated individually... generally, if a car or bike can get up to max speed in the 1.75 miles before the timing traps on the GPS course then they can stay there. If they need more room then come on over to the long cou...

Re: reconsider please
Dave The club is getting new timing gear for the course formerly known as the GPS course. This way it would be required that any car under 150mph or bike under 175mph be restricted to the GPS course and proper timing, and as an extension, records would be ratified for them. This will help speed up p...

Hmmm ZF transaxle in the rear with one engine in the back seat and a driveshaft joining that engine to another up front - there's no way that would fit!!!

Re: Rule Clarification-Requirement clarification request?
As an aside to the motorcycle discussion and not trying to buy into it in any way, shape or form... but surely you could incorporate into the discussion the fact that all bikes have a lanyard operated kill switch which could be worn if running the bike and not sitting on it?
