Re: Speedweek 2014
Great news about the shade structures being sponsored :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Who's going to erect them and dismantle and stow them correctly at the end of the meeting, which is generally Friday when most racers have gone          ...

Re: Bush camp fees
All, The Racers camp has: Mens 4 x Pans, 4 x Hot showers, 3 x handbasins and 1 x urinal :) :) :) Ladies: 4 x pans, 2 x Hot showers, 3 x handbasins :) :) :) :) :) :) For the "peak hour" rush if the ladies aren't around or under utilised can be used by gents for number 2's. This is usually m...

Cookie (Recycled timer) and Mr Ullus (Chief Car steward) are at the DLRA camp as we speak "re hydrating"    The road in is good, keep in mind they are a couple of the first vehicles up there.   The road is also VERY DUSTY so ...

Re: Bush camp fees
Tiny, Have just ordered a swag of spares I think the toilets may need, after talking with JB and Chemloo (Scott) :D :D :D :D :D :D There was never an intention to remove ALL toilets from the Lake for the evening (see previous post) :? The evening shift for toilet mtce was never aimed at the S...

Re: Bush camp fees
Sad to hear about being unable to "dunny share" so to speak. :( :( :( :( The likely hood of getting any extra toilet at this stage are zero to none. :( :( :( :( It would appear the Club will need to buy some more toilets as time goes on, but these are not sitting waiting to be purchased we...

Re: Bush camp fees
All, The definitive answer for toilets at the "Lakeside Camp" :) As has been suggested the portable trailer toilets are not used during the evening once racing is finished, so have spoken with the Pres (Cled) and he agrees 6-7 of the portable toilets could be taken to the Lakeside camp and...

Re: Bush camp fees
Paul, With regard to paying $10 for DLRA camp, per night, and staying at Lakeside camp I don't see an issue  as you say $7 goes to Mt Ive regardless. There would still be the one of $10 diesel levy involved as well, this is paid by ALL who use the DLRA camp whether it be for 1 day or 5 days. ...

Re: Bush camp fees
All, Just a small addition to costs associated with camping at either camp. The Lake side camp is $7 per night, per person with facilities mentioned before  and goes totally to Mt Ive (no "S") The DLRA camp is $10 per night, per person plus a one of $10 diesel levy to run the g...

Re: Bush camp fees
All, At the very least, take your own drinking water to the lake side camp  Water is a very precious commodity in the area this year as there has been very minimal rain fall (Sh!t shouldn't have said that  ) In the past the Newtons have provided a tanker of BORE water to operate the exis...

Re: First time to DLRA camp
Graeme, Depending on what you are camping in, tent, swag, camper trailer or whatever. :?: If you require power for a fridge or light (power is not to be used for cooking ie toasters, jugs etc) as the genset can only handle so much, camp somewhere near the big shearing shed. You can cam...

Excess vehicles and stuff at the DLRA Camp
G'Day All, Looks like everything is shaping up to actually have a race meeting this year :D :D :D :D :D :D :D We have a rule with the DLRA racers camp where what you bring in you must take out, or at the very least organize for it to be taken out  Having said that there are quite a lot of &quo...
