Re: Lake condition and forecast

Looking at the BOM site, the lake area has been on the periphery of the rain band, so the gauges at Nonning haven't registered any big totals. It will clear this weekend, and by Friday it will be 30 degrees with 15 - 25kph wnds each day, so I'm optimistic. (I was also optimistic last year, but we wo...

Re: Lake condition as at Dec.27th

A big THANK YOU to all who made the effort to try and run a meet this year. Your efforts are indeed appreciated, even if mother nature ensured there was no result for this year. I'll be counting the days until the nextmeeting, such is life. We rolled up at the turnoff at IK around 17:00 Sat. and the...

Re: Lake condition as at Dec.27th

The weather radar shows bugger-all activity, and the 28 day rain forecast shows negligible precipitation, so I'n not concerned. If I get there and the road is closed, I reckon one or two six-packs later and a snooze and it will be open, worst-case scenario, and I'm not expecting that to happen. Thun...

Yeah, it's a let down coming home after such a good week. The Canberra Times had a half page or so feature on the salt racing with a photo or two this week. Pretty unusual for the local paper. I've got plenty of photos but nowhere to host them. I might have to get a smugmug account. Thanks to all wh...

Hi All,
Are we any closer yet to some sort of decision?
Just wondering, as the time is getting short. Keen to go.......
Cheers,
Tom.

Godsilla, I don't think that'd work, bitch'd probably want more more more I'd be real happy to oblige her at the moment. If it's not on, we have to decide where we're going to go, as the leave is booked and 8 months of planning and prep is done. The trouble is that rotten Ho Mother Nature has gone ...

Disappointing.

Someone should take that Mother Nature and give her a smacking.
Ah well, I suppose it just increases the desire for next time.
Any odds on a hat-trick next year?
