Re: New Australian Salt movie

Good on ya Nige.
I posted a photo of Nigel in the pits with his bike in the 2016 Speedweek thread on advrider.com too, nice picture as it turns out. I hope the movie is done soon.

Re: Trent Clare

It's been a fair while since the last update on Trents condition.
Is there any further news or progress to report? :?: :?: :?:

Re: Trent Clare

It's hard to express in words how good that news is. I watched the incident unfold through my camera lens, and poor Trent and his family haven't been far from my thoughts ever since. I'm very glad for both Trent and his family that his recovery is picking up, and here's hoping it goes all the way. T...

Re: Trent Clare

It's been a few more weeks now. Any further news on Trent?

I'm hoping to hear he's improved with time.

Re: Lake Condition for March 2015

The long-range 28-day rain forecast shows the coast might get some the week before, but it is saying no rain except for a slight chance towards the end of the racing week. Here's hoping.........

Re: Lake Condition for March 2015

The 28 day rain forecast shows only 1 day in the next 4 weeks might be a low chance of minor showers.
This forecast is a bit of a moving target (last week showed 4 days chance of showers) but the outlook is positive!

Re: Forum Software update

I also forgot to point out that from the forum there is still no "Home" button to get back to the front webpage. makes navigating a bit painful (first world problem, I know)

Re: Forum Software update

The new look is rather good. Apart from an excess of COLONS I like it.

Re: Startline Volunteers Needed

Hi Dave, I can do some half-days at a minimum, I might also volunteer for the timing van for some half days too. Afternoons are good for me, 'cos I sleep in a bit after a lot of beer. I'll catch you out there on Sat or Sun before the event, if not before.

Re: Lake condition monday 22nd sept '14

I hope it is as good as 2005, when Lynchy set his record.
That year the weather was really kind, and the salt was hard as foock. Really hard, man.

Re: On the Road

I'm just mounting a new car fridge in the back of my ute (nothing lines up and matches/mates, as bloody usual!). I'm meeting up with my son and my brother in law, both first timers, and we're leaving from Canberra around midday Wednesday, arriving Saturday arvo after attending to some family busines...

Re: weather

Many thanks for taking the time and effort to ensure the surface is useable. I've gotten to the turnoff at Iron Knob before and found the road closed, meeting cancelled signs, it's a lot of time and money down the drain if it's washed out eh. Your efforts are appreciated. UPDATE 23/02 The long-range...

Re: Mt. Ive Lakeside Canteen

"WILL NOT be serving evening meals" That is sad news. I recall the truly excellent food that was served in 2005, it was a pleasure to eat there each evening, and I'm sure a few folks who brought supplies that year would have taken them home after eating at the canteen. I have noted t...
