Re: Caster

I'm running a VT Commo front end in our F100 which is layed back in the frame for additional caster. From memory I think it was 12 or 13 degrees. It goes dead straight with good feel at 185mph. You can let go the wheel. In a factory sedan my advice is as much caster as you can build in which is what...

Re: FEET FORWARD AG1350

Might feel natural coming from a recumbent bike. Many of the 3 wheeled versions steer a bit like that. Are planning on this March for this?

Re: FEET FORWARD AG1350

That seating position is comfortable in a car. Are the bars under for simplicity? It would feel much more natural above. That just looks like it will take some getting used to.

Re: Car Entrants

Quick access hatches at critical points for fire extinguishers in a fire/rescue. Special construction engine bays are often hard to access from a fire/rescue standpoint. I think this was a recent update to our rulebook. Haddie's fire was an example of that where the fire/rescue had problems getting ...

Re: Gas Turbine streamliner

Can see its early days but my question came from seeing your front hoop not going through to the bottom rail. I think this is a requirement.

Re: Gas Turbine streamliner

That is all looking good. From a scrutineering standpoint please read the rulebook thoroughly regards cage tube material and basic structure. At this stage of the build it is easy to fix any minor issues. Any questions or queries contact one of the scruitineering crew. We will all be happy to help.

Re: theTRUTH

Be careful of compromise. Sometimes better to tear up a design that doesn't work out, call it proto 1 and look at the big picture and your investment in that. Some of my best decisions in motorsport were put in the bin. Saying that the "Harky solution" sounds good.

Re: theTRUTH

Looks impressive in the flesh. Looking for the weak link if any I would carry spare bearings perhaps, bit unknown in this application. Apart for that it looks tough.

Landspeed Tyres

Wanted to buy 24" Landspeed tyres. Need 4 tyres. 2 x 22" would be OK.

Re: theTRUTH

Regards your pump orientation its no problem upside down, alternator on its own only needs a 3pk belt. (less frictional loss) Be aware when bleeding the system your change to the pump position but they self bleed ok.
