just received and read WIZARD of OZ by Clinton Walker this was published 2012 and tells the Wizard Smith and Don Harkness land speed story , some good photos ---- compliments others already on this site worth a read , no mention of any Oz salt , mind in the 20 s & 30 s getting to any of the site...

interesting I drove and worked on sigma s and Datsun s with chargers that blew through the carby (with mods to the carby ) These were Japaneese kits , the brand I have forgotten , they had 3 / 5 lbs of boost and the torque change was really good , which is what you are after , keep us informed harky

Been some good debate & food for thought Im still with Ross , I think for the small effort , wearing a balaclava ( fire restintant) is something I will do The day temp in FEB @ the lake can and will be an issue for us all , but in a set of leathers we will all have to be hydrated and on the ball...
