a questiion from a salt virgin - how cold does it get on the salt once the sun goes down ?

It can get quite cool overnight. The thing that makes it cooler is the wind. This can pick up in the afternoon (and actually stop racing) and continue into the night.

Yeah, last year had a few cool days as well due to the rain.
Always take a warm jacket - and a rain jacket - and a hat - and sunnies - and plenty of water - spare fuel........

Have to presume no news is good news on the condition of the lake, has anybody heard from any of the crews currently up at the lake.

you have to realise that the old school dlra are pretty cliqhe. they dont readily pass on information.you have to extract it.paul penny
