Hi all,

i am hurting as my flights into SA and back had to be cancelled as i could not get away from work as planned. (spewing, money down the drain)

i planned to get down there and get a feel for the lake before i race next year, but unfortunately it wasnt to be.

and media of this years event would be fantastic to see. pics vids etc.

guess i will have to wait to next year

In 2007 I had bought tickets , the event was cancelled before I was due to fly from Brissy . SO changed the booking for 6 mths later , bought an extra ticket for the good lady ,then went to the Barossa Valley and drank wine and spent a couple of days at Mt Ive visiting the Lake . All was not lost and brought home some good wines .

that sounds like a good idea. i have lost one flight through jet star, but the one i booked thro quantas is sitting in loom. so maybe i will have to do something along those lines.
