Absolutely don . we had 900 mtrs of noise and 400 of braking .Some people would have notched up 20 runs .one busa ran 9 times on saturday for 160 plus maybe 171 ." Electric " Spog ran 205 klms on the gps .
the facility has a full workshop surrounded by a 8 ft high fence making a courtyard for all . the barby was inside and members took various heaters to make real cosy .as usual a good party .
packed up at about 1pm sunday . many thanks go to the organisers and to dave hinds for spending all day by himself as a track marshall down at the deep end
only one incident as harky went into the gravel trap which did its job and he remained upright .
only one spectator from Vic .

HI Penny
It wasn't a Busa that ran 9 times on saturday it was former A/Street Bike national record holder Lionel Linn on a ZX14 Kawasaki
He ran speeds of 171, 173 and 175 MPH (GPS recorded).

Thanks Pete, Dave, Smurf and everyone else that made such a good easy going event. We all had a great time and managed to get some great data out of the whole week end. The two day event is definitely beneficial for the vehicles dedicated to the track as we had time to run three bikes that havnt yet been down the track. We had a few gear change issues with my non-operating knee on the chopper but we got over that in the end and the methanol guzzler was a whole lot of fun. I will post some pics soon but if your on facebook then hit me up and check out the test and tune album that my wife put together. Thanks again guys.

Hi Pete RGV went very well. Borrowed a GPS early Sat and got 117 in 5th on a new motor, later Sun wound it out a bit more and got 124 by the tacho on my EGT gauge, still in 5th with 16 front and 44 rear so was a bit slow off the line. Std tacho is reading around 500 rpm high. Would have got higher speed with lower gearing as we only had around 1000 m. Was leaving the braking later each run, but not too brave, one bike ran off into the kitty litter. Got to 1245 deg F so need to go up 1 more on mains for the Lake.

And bought it home running :D

Will take head and barrels off over the weekend and check things out but seems good by the plugs.

Hows yours coming along, any changes or going to leave it as is till March? Ive got another set of barrels and heads to play with that i will take next year and might swap over up there.

Great News Dave

The event sounds like it is just what we need to get some Seat time/Testing done and try out our ideas.

My bike will undergo Big Changes, going to Run APS G 250. I will post stuff on Build Diaries around August. I should have a few bits by then. It is ready now for the Claypan as MG 250.
