Wudinna,

Our Publican keeps talking about it (he also runs the Pub there) & is often taking the drive up............... so he knows Plucka too

for the newbies ,Scott is flying up the track and about the 3minute mark the canteen comes into view . The ramp area next to the canteen looks good with salt up to the edge and no mud washed down . Last week Joy Newton had reported 40mm of water in front of the canteen and we know that will blow away .thanks Scott

Thanks all.

@JonB - I have an RV-6A affectionately known as "Little Red". The camera is mounted under its right wing and it only takes 20 minutes to get from Wudinna to the Lake.

Anyone on the lake will see a bit of Little Red in a couple of weeks, it will be based at Ives - I plan to try to get some good footage of the action.

Hi Scott,

Thanks heaps for taking the time to go and have a look.

That's pretty depressing footage, though the music was nice....

All of our fingers now crossed for two weeks of hot dry windy weather. As we were rolling this into a spectator trip for early in the week followed by a trip out to Maralinga we'll still be going but I might start thinking about a plan B.

I'd like to pick your brains about about other interesting spots to explore up between the lakes & down into the Gawler Ranges. Any chance you could PM me your phone number & a convenient time that I could give you a call?

Dave
