Racers pits check list

Re: Racers pits check list
What constitutes a support vehicle? My vehicle will only be used to tow the trailer onto the salt. It is not a chase vehicle. Does that need an installed 5W radio?
Re: Racers pits check list
I did this page some time ago. Hopefully it will give newbies what they need and provide a few reminders for previous entrants.

Ok - 5W UHF installed. I guess that will be enough info to buy from a local radio/4WD shop

Hi, what is an accepted 'spill kit'?
Is a couple of bags of pet cat kitty litter sufficient?
Plus a plastic tub and shovel for disposal?

Its also a good idea to buy a small hand held unit for when your on the move.
A 3w is good, but we've had good receiption with the little 1w units as well.

While discussing kitty litter, i noticed the other year how difficult it was to clean up the dark stain caused by the litter at Rods car
Maybe pick a light coloured kitty litter for easier clean up ???

I think for the next event a bucket should be part of the racers pit checklist . We may have to form a human chain to dewater the lake .
